E hō mai is a Hawaiian phrase meaning "let it come, let it flow". This sacred chant calls upon our spirit guides and ancestors - It asks that we are granted the wisdom and knowledge to guide us on our paths, allowing things to come and flow into our lives.
I photographed these dancers on the Kilauea lava field, on the Big Island of Hawai'i. This series is my photographic interpretation of the ebb and flow of life.
Here is my series submission to the LensCulture black & white photography awards. ♥
